works as described. Replaced original heavier fan (also Panasonic brand made in Thailand). The original fan has a metal plate in the back to allow it to be mounted to the fan cage. The new fan has one more screw to mount it to the fan cage directly without needing the mounting plate. Fan blade is the same as on the original fan. In retrospect changing the motor alone might be a way to safe some more money since they can be found cheaper than this set. There was no need for the conversion wire harness in this case. Packaging of parts in the cardboard box was ok. Newspaper as filler material in the box - motor and fan blade were each in their own US postal service priority mail bubble wrap bag. Screws and wire harness were in a separate original looking plastic bag.
FYI On this particular fridge it may be a good time to take out and clean the drip pan during this process since it can be removed from the back after removing one more screw while your in that area. Total time needed including removal and cleaning of drip pan ~ 15 min.

The fridge was getting hot on the sides and top, then I realized that the fan in was not blowing at all, so I replaced that motor so the condenser wouldn't 'burn out', it was pretty warm, and it is working great. I don't know if the wiring harness was even compatible with my fridge, but the existing wiring plugged into the new motor and we're back in business!
